Info

Aaron Penne (b. 1988, Chico, California) is an artist and engineer working with systems in Seattle, Washington. He has been creating generative artwork with code since 2018 and serves as Director of Engineering at Art Blocks. In 2018, he founded the Generative Artists Club, a private community of approximately 400 generative artists sharing techniques, critiquing work, and supporting each other. His work explores the space between algorithmic and organic, balancing machine precision with human touch to create fluid, painterly forms from hard-edge digital artifacts.

Penne holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, where he first encountered Harold Cohen's pioneering work. He is the first Art Blocks artist to be featured across Curated, Playground, and Factory platforms.
